Tuesday afternoon May 27 in Room Alliance Française Cultural Center, held its first meeting called by the eighth table visual arts. This meeting was an instance in which he announced the direction and lines of work submitted by a group in formation, definitely open to continued involvement and reflection of the diversity of artists and cultural workers interested in forming an organization generating proposals and pronouncements in the field of local visual arts. That day he met a diverse and large artists, teachers, cultural workers, students and others., and the expectations of this meeting were met not only by the call reached (meaning that you can always go higher), but mainly because there was a dynamic conversational debate ultimately on the lines of action proposed by the group germinal eighth visual arts table, that was precisely one of the objectives of this meeting. In this regard, we emphasize that this proposal, made public in the assembly, but is the product of a process of work previously performed, was not presented as a completed project i do or permanent, which offers the only option to integrate it into its status, on the contrary, our proposal (which became effective as such a development agreement) was directed to lay out a basic platform Organize and work from which to develop a series of reflections, associative processes and articulators between producers visual and cultural agents in the region, all with the aim of strengthening new levels of recognition between artistic practice and the community, and likewise, to join consensus on cultural policies that tune with the reality of regional visual production.
This idea of \u200b\u200blinking proposal table for the eighth visual arts, certainly not intended to limit the development or the interests of each particular agent, precisely because that is the potential difference required to tip over a territory that we understand complex and diverse. On the other hand, the interaction involved in the organization between visual producers, we can operate as a forum in which to share tools and knowledge that will eventually complement or granting new possibilities for the production of each individual artist or cultural agent. It is at this level of wills with room for a series of possible initiatives to realize, as is the development of workshops, residencies, educational projects and pedagogical dynamics of exchange, etc.. the extent that we can articulate a critical mass of diverse, but encouraged to establish a consensus (not unbreakable but inscribed on the situation and potential of being re-drawn on the experience of dialogue), there is the possibility that this table is established as an effective MLA and plural, as "road map" is a constant exercise of building the universe from another angle.
The meeting happened last Tuesday as a first instance of recognition and dialogue, discussion framework required for any group binding and expectant face to the work processes that may arise from it. We thank those who were interested and were present that day, that is why we reaffirm the invitation to continue dialogue and to continue putting together this table, an open invitation to those who were in the assembly, who missed it or who newly become aware of this proposal.
